But don't believe everything you see on TV...

I received a note from the local high school principal congratulating me on my win for the school board seat. After seeing the news on television last night, with me listed as the loser, I settled in to the idea that I had not won.

But... according to the Minnesota Secretary of State's web site, I won by 10 votes.

Awesome. Did you have a campaign slogan. I like Mailer and Breslin's for NYC Mayor: Throw The Bums In.

No, no slogans. Though perhaps I should have had one. My win was a squeaker. I lost big in one nearby community, but I think it's because I've been outspoken about certain aspects of the school, which greatly affect that community.

Mayne next time -- "Daniel Munson: Why not?"

or
"Daniel Munson: He went to school"

or "Daniel Munson: Not the worst student ever" (this because [one of the things that prompted me to run] one board member was quoted as saying that he was the worse student ever at the school, and I thought, what the hell is he doing making decisions for the school then?).
